Beaskund Trek
The Beas river in Himachal Pradesh, state of Inda is started from Beas Kund.

Day 1: Manali to Dhundi by car via Solan Nala & 5 hour trek to Bakrathatch ( 8 Kms Trek )
- Reach early morning at Manali.
- If you need some grocery, then buy from Manali.
- Rent a car for Dhundi.
- Dhundi is 7-8 km from Solan Valley.
- For Dhundi you need to take permission from Solan Nala. If they do not allow then you have to walk.
- If you are late to reach Dhundi, then camp at dhundi.
- Else start your trek from the right side of the beas river.
- After 1-2 km you have to cross a river which meets the beas river.
- After crossing this you can see some small trees.
- After that there is a wooden bridge, and crosses the bridge.
- You can trek from both sides. but people used to trek by the left side of the river.
- There are some probabilities to break the road to the right side of the river.
- Around 4-5 hours you reach Bakharthatch.
- Hanuman Tibba and Friends peac are very close to you.
Day 2: Trek from Bakrathatch to Beas Kund ( 6 Kms Trek ) & Back.
- Today is the time to visit the Beaskund, where Rishi Vyas used to take a bath.
- Try to start your day before sunrise, because you have a chance to get a very beautiful sunrise. All visible himalaya ranges should be golden colored.
- Today you trek a little bit early, because you have to go 5 + 5 = 10 km. And if you can reach somewhere early at Beaskund , means you can spend some more time there.
- Around 3 km trek is very risky, due to very big stone stores on the way.
- There are so many sources of water that meet the main Beas River.
- Finding out the kund is might be some difficult for a visitor without a guide.
- If you have short time then back early, and can return to Dhundi or Manali.
Day 3: Trek from Bakkarthatch to Dhundi - Manali
- Around 8-9 am leave Bakkarthatch.
- Around 3-4 hours needs to reach Dhundi.
- If a car is available at Dhundi, then go to Solan/Manali by car.
- Else Trek up to Solan Valley.
- Then rent car to go to Manali.
- Take an evening bus from Manali to go to your Destination or stay in Manali for more exploring.
