Day 1: Haridwar/Rishikesh - DevPrayag - Chopta (2926 m)
- Driving a car from Haridwar or Rishikesh for Chopta is 260-270km.
- Around 9-10 hours time taking.
- Try to start around 6-7 am. Then only you can drive in relaxed mode and can get time to enjoy some place on the way.
- On this road you can see Devprayag,Rudrapryag.
- Devprayag is the meeting point of Bhagirathi and Alokananda.
- Rudraprayag is the meeting point of Mandakini and Alokananda Rivers.
- There is a temple of Dhara Devi into the Alokananda river near Khaliyo, after Srinagar, Uttarakhand.
- Reached Chopta around 4pm.
- Height of the Chopta is 2,926 m
- Rent Hotel or if you have a camping arrangement, then try to find a place and take permission for camping.
Day 2: Chopta to Tungnath 3680 m:
- Around 5 km Trek and this is an easy trek.
- On this way there are some shops available, where you can get chocolate, Cold Drinks etc.
- Around 2 hours needs to reach Tungnath temple.
- Pray at the temple.
- Go to see the surrounding place.
- Near the temple are some shops and hotels.
- If you want to visit Chandrashila, then you can visit.
- Chandrashila is 1.5-2 km from Tungnath Temple.
- People used to come here to enjoy the sunset from Tungnath and sunrise from Chandrashila.
- For this you need to stay in Tungnath.
- Otherwise return to Chopta.
Day 3: Chopta - Ukhimath - Haridwar/Rishikesh
- Now is the time to return.
- Start early in the morning to drive.
- Can visit Ukhimath.
- Ukhimath is the place where Kedarnath stays in winter.
- Via Ukhimath the total driving distance should be around 250km.
- In the evening reached Haridwar/Rishikesh.
